LAND ROVER AMBULANCE RESTORATION

A group of members of the association has acquired a new vehicle, with the wish that ambulance be restored with the participation of all the members of the entity in our facilities. In particular, it is a Land Rover Santana Ambulance which throughout its useful life was providing service for the land army, specically for the Maestrazgo 3 division (Valencia, Spain). We have proceeded to his transfer from Motilla del Palancar (Cuenca, Spain) to our workshop in Sant Feliu de Codines (Barcelona, Spain).  We leave you the video!

After some time prioritizing other projects, it is our ambulance’s turn!
We have carried out a small revision, replacing all the filters, oils, petrol hoses, petrol and water pumps, as well as some antifreeze caps on the block.
After all this and with a couple of new batteries, it has started after several decades of inactivity like nothing!

We verified that everything was working as it should and for the first test trip! She worked better than we expected, so we will surely replace all the silentblocks and rubber bushings, carry out an in-depth review of the cooling, steering and braking systems and direct for the MOT!

Here you have the video of our first trip in the Ambulance:
